To publish all collection of NMTH which completed under a great effort of researching is the first step to establish the knowledge genealogy of Taiwan history. Under the categorical framework of “General”, “Periodic journals”, “Special research of subject”, “Article collection”, “Gallery collection”, “Promoting series” and “Visual and audio publication” and other relevant publication, we hope to provide the resource of research for academic studies of Taiwan history and culture, meanwhile, to assist the interested general public to educate themselves under the prospect of history.

Our publication, not only include the collection of official archives since the Qing dynasty, but also data from the local society and field study. These data had been collected inland, but also oversea. On the foundation of the main archives, we keep gathering up periodical and special journals etc. and popular readings, children books and comic books to achieve the goal pole of academic expertise and public education via exhibitions.

Many important events and social phenomena were recorded in these archives and data, we are keened on making the museum exhibition more dynamic through its diverse of collection. The exhibition is set to cover the appearance and the spirit of Taiwan’s cultural diversity, the development from time to time, relations of ethnic, the exotic sight to view Taiwan and vice versa, with the above subjects of research and publications, we hope to take a step toward to a profound, wide field of vision of the historical depth.

“Concept of Taiwan”, “Encounter with Taiwan”,”Understanding Taiwan”, “Measurements of Taiwan”, “Formosa production”, ”Longitude & latitude of Taiwan”,  ”Rainbow patterned surface”, “Treasuring Taiwan” are all exisiting publications released by NMTH, we will continue our research on Taiwan history and hope to expand our library of publications.
