| Permanent Exhibition Recommended for those with plenty of time, this guide takes the visitor through different periods in Taiwan’s history. A personal audio guide allows each visitor to plan their trip according to their schedule and interests. The guide can offer particular topics the visitor is interested in and thorough information about the museum's permanent exhibitions. In addition to in-depth information, the guide incorporates sound effects, background music, and theatrical narration to portray each scene vividly. Visitors can immerse themselves, as if traveling back in time, in the exhibitions and audio performances.

The museum has selected 15 presentations from the permanent exhibitions to introduce Taiwan’s profound and touching history. Tour Duration
| Each audio segment lasts around two minutes. The audio guide for individuals has 53 segments totaling 90 minutes. The version for groups has 15 segments totaling 30 minutes.

Rental Method
| Present person ID (personal ID, driving license, National Health Insurance card, or passport) or NT$1000 deposit (per device) to the Ticketing Center for device rental. Personal ID or deposit will be returned upon the return of the device.
| To ensure the quality of their visit, group admissions are required to utilize the group audio tour system. The tour leader should be responsible for the group's admission, devices, and their return. Personal IDs or deposits will be returned upon return of the devices.

Special Offer
| The museum provides free personal audio guides to the following persons, so long as they hold relevant documents: 1.Persons with disabilities and one designated support person 2.Taiwanese indigenous peoples 3.Taiwan Tourism Bureau-licensed tour guides and tour leaders 4.Members of National Museum of Taiwan History will receive one free rental in the month of their birthday when presenting their membership card.
| Groups of 10+ people can enjoy the following audio tour discount: 1.Tour leaders are entitled to use one device per tour for free when presenting their tour guide or tour leader license 2.Each group may choose to use one personal audio guide as the master set for playing back the guide information. |
